Senior Superintendent

The Senior Superintendent will oversee construction projects within the business services industry. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards, while leading teams and managing site activities.

Description

• Lead and manage day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Manage site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Conduct regular quality-control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications.
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule challenges proactively.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and critical issues to the project team.
• Coordinate site logistics, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Profile

• Proven experience leading commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Strong blueprint, specification, and contract-document reading skills.
• Experience with project scheduling and construction management software.
• Strong understanding of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify potential project issues and implement solutions quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
