Job Overview

As a senior-level engineer, you will lead the engineering and design of complex substation projects. You'll apply your extensive knowledge to resolve challenging problems and provide leadership and guidance to technical teams. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site responsibilities within the PG&E Service Territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex projects and perform engineering analyses and studies.
• Lead, coach, and assist technical employees and teams on technical issues.
• Finalize contract project specifications and evaluate contract project bids.
• Provide support in land, permitting, and legal issues.
• Engage with contractors, vendors, local public agencies, and internal teams to solve problems and exchange information.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or equivalent international degree.
• 8 years of cumulative experience in electrical engineering and design.

Preferences

• Experience in multiple large-scale, large-budget electric substation projects.
• Substation engineering expertise.
• Proficiency in project management.
• Current California PE license.
