    Description

    Senior Subcontract Administrator 

    • Location: West Valley, NY
    • Monday–Thursday onsite, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.
    • Salary: $92,000–$122,000

    Position Overview

    Lead the procurement and administration of complex materials, equipment, and service contracts under government-funded programs. This role focuses on obtaining the best value through effective sourcing, contract negotiation, subcontract administration, and supplier management while ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulations.

    Qualifications

    Grade 31

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or equivalent.
    • 6+ years of related experience, including 4+ years in government procurement or business management.
    • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR), and government contracting requirements.

    Grade 32

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or equivalent.
    • 10+ years of experience, including 4+ years in government procurement.
    • Advanced knowledge of FAR, DEAR, government contracting, subcontract administration, and commercial procurement practices.

    Required Skills

    • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract administration, and government regulations.
    • Experience managing complex procurements from solicitation through contract closeout.
    • Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and subcontract modifications.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Experience leading projects and providing technical guidance to others.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.

    Preferred Certification

    • Professional purchasing or contract management certification is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Source and evaluate suppliers for complex materials, equipment, and services.
    • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), subcontract documents, and evaluation criteria.
    • Perform cost and price analyses to ensure fair and reasonable pricing.
    • Lead subcontract negotiations and administer subcontract performance.
    • Manage subcontract changes, schedules, and supplier performance.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve procurement issues and support project objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, contract requirements, and ethical business practices.
    • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support continuous process improvements.
    • Promote a safe work environment and contribute to overall team success.

    Compensation: Salary will be based on the selected candidate's education, training, certifications, and relevant experience.
