This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, meaningful projects within a collaborative and supportive environment that invests in its people and their long-term growth.The Senior Structural Engineer will play a key role in project delivery; leading technical design efforts, mentoring junior staff, and serving as a trusted resource for project teams and clients alike.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural analysis and design across a variety of project types, from concept through construction documentation.Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Apply working knowledge of California Building Code (CBC) and relevant local jurisdictional requirements throughout all phases of design.Incorporate seismic design principles and lateral force‑resisting systems into project work, ensuring compliance with ASCE 7 and CBC seismic provisions.Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure cohesive and constructible design solutions.Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineering staff.Support business development efforts and client relationships as needed.QualificationsMaster's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license a plus5‑10 years of progressive structural engineering experience in a consulting or design firm environmentStrong proficiency in structural analysis and design for buildings, including gravity and lateral systemsExperience with seismic design and performance‑based engineering strongly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of California Building Code (CBC) and ASCE 7Proficiency in industry‑standard structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM, or similar)Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM coordination workflows preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively interface with clients and multidisciplinary project teamsWhy Consider This RoleThis firm offers a stable, people‑first culture with the technical depth and project diversity to keep strong engineers engaged and growing.
