Job Description
Category Strategy & Sourcing
• Develop and execute multi-year strategic sourcing plans for assigned spend categories.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify cost savings opportunities, discover and recruit new suppliers, and extract innovative ideas from the supply base.
• Lead competitive sourcing processes including RFPs, supplier negotiations, award decision making, contracting, and purchasing.
Supplier Management
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance metrics.
• Negotiate pricing, service levels, and contract terms with key vendors.
• Ensure supplier performance aligns with company expectations for quality, service, and cost.
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Partner with internal stakeholders including Operations, Fleet, IT, Finance, HR, and Legal to understand business needs and translate them into sourcing strategies.
• Quarterback our Joint RFP teams to led cross-functional decision making and spend implementation.
• Support company-wide procurement initiatives and policy development.
Procurement Operations & Governance
• Ensure sourcing activities align with procurement policies and compliance requirements.
• Utilize procurement analytics and reporting tools to monitor category performance and savings.
• Support implementation of Source-to-Pay processes and procurement technology.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management.
• Proven experience leading supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement or ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP.
• Experience in waste management, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial services industries.
• Experience working in enterprise procurement or strategic sourcing organizations.
Salary: $120,000-160,000
