Primary Objective:
We are seeking a B - Shift Supervisor- Etch / Thin Films to lead production operations within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for shift execution, personnel leadership, safety compliance, tool performance oversight, and achieving production targets while maintaining world-class quality standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong Etch or Films process knowledge with proven leadership capability in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
B Shift: Saturday through Tuesday in week one, and Sunday through Tuesday in week two, from 6:55pm- 7:10am. This role offers a 15% differential.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Shift Operations Leadership
Lead and supervise operators and process technicians during assigned shiftDrive daily production targets including throughput, WIP management, and cycle timeEnsure smooth shift handoff communicationRespond to process excursions and coordinate with engineering and maintenance teamsEscalate issues appropriately to minimize downtime and yield impact
Technical & Process Oversight
Monitor critical metrics (CD control, defect density, thickness)Support troubleshooting of Etch and Thin Films processesEnsure SPC compliance and process control adherenceCoordinate tool qualifications and maintenance schedulesPartner with engineering on continuous improvement initiatives
Equipment Oversight
Experience working with industry-standard tools such as:
AMAT and Novellus Deposition toolsAMAT, LAM, and TEL EtchersKLA Corporation inspection/metrology tools
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Enforce cleanroom protocols and EHS standardsEnsure documentation accuracy and shift reporting disciplineDrive root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone) for excursionsMaintain compliance with manufacturing and quality systems
Team Development
Coach and mentor team membersConduct performance discussions and provide feedbackManage shift staffing, attendance, and schedulingPromote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience2+ years of Etch or Thin Films-specific experience preferred2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferredStrong understanding of:
Etch and Thin Films processesCD and Thickness controlSPC and statistical analysis
Experience in high-volume 200mm or 300mm fab environmentsAbility to work in a cleanroom and support the assigned shift schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related fieldExperience ramping new tools or processesFamiliarity with MES systemsProficiency in Excel
