Senior / Staff Field Application Engineer (FAE)

Description Field application engineer will provide technical support to customers in designing and developing leading-edge products using SmartSens image sensor solutions. This role involves working closely with customers to solve technical challenges, optimize system performance, and support the successful adoption of SmartSens products. The FAE will collaborate with internal engineering and application teams to deliver effective solutions and ensure customer success.

Responsibilities • Work closely with customers to bring up and troubleshoot their systems during development and integration. • Optimize and tune camera image quality according to customer requirements to ensure competitive product performance. • Provide customers with accurate technical guidance on the usage and integration of SmartSens sensors. • Evaluate camera image quality and system performance to ensure compliance with application requirements. • Identify and implement feasible system-level workarounds when certain issues cannot be resolved through design changes. • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to headquarters to support product improvements and future development. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and deliver effective customer solutions.

Qualifications • 5+ years experience of CMOS image sensor / ISP Application Engineer, Field Application Engineer, or camera product engineer. • Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently with different stakeholders including customers, engineering teams, and management. • Experience or knowledge of CMOS image sensors, Image Signal Processors (ISP), and camera image quality tuning is highly desirable. • Familiarity with camera hardware and software design, system integration, and evaluation is a plus. • Knowledge of semiconductor or LSI design is a plus. • Experience with Automotive Functional Safety or cybersecurity is a plus. • Experience working in a multinational company environment is preferred. • Result-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
