Senior Staff DevOps Engineer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer - Remote position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
As a Senior Staff Systems Design Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and agentic AI platform offerings, your role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based systems that leverage the capabilities of the cloud. This position will work closely with the Product Performance and Data and Analytics (DNA) teams on a manufacturing traceability project, responsible for enabling GCP Infrastructure in both the AI and Data Analytics space, performing architectural design, review, and implementation via Terraform Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust and scalable architectures on GCP to support applications and services
• Lead efforts to provide agentic AI platform services to ensure scalability and meet evolving automation needs
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform to automate resource provisioning
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems for resource utilization, scalability, and reliability
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security teams
• Enable technologies and support customers through operational readiness in a DNA wrangle development environment
• Enable and support Spanner in manufacturing and DNA environments
• Assist in building DNA Medallion Leveling templates

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience (or Master's degree and 8+ years, or PhD and 5+ years)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in GCP platform engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Terraform Cloud for Business
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with GCP Agentic AI development support
• Proficiency with HCL, Python, and bash scripting

Desired Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design
• 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics support
• 5+ years of expertise with Scrum/Agile workflow
