Our fast-growing and well-established company is seeking a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant located in Tampa, FL. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing essential support for our financial operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledgers
    • Prepare accrual entries to comply with US GAAP
    • Maintain schedule for prepaid accounts and process amortization
    • Handle corporate credit card transactions between the 3rd party software and Quickbooks, and monthly credit card reconciliation
    • Conduct Pre-audit tasks across organizations in preparing consolidated financial statements
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial forecasting & budgeting support
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment
    • Manage the companys general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
    • Prepare and assist in the analysis of financial reports, including budget variance analysis
    • Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    • Assist with audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

    Requirements

    • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, MS Dynamics Business Central, or similar platforms
    • Financial Statements consolidation experience required
    • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing industry
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
    • CPA, CMA or working towards CPA, CMA certification is a plus but not required
    • International accounting experience preferred
    • Able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
