Senior Staff Accountant

Seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger activities, financial reporting, audits, and compliance for a mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong nonprofit accounting experience and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.

Rate: $85-95k/base

OVERVIEW:

Seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger activities, financial reporting, audits, and compliance for a mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong nonprofit accounting experience and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support month-end and year-end close
• Maintain general ledger accuracy
• Prepare reconciliations and financial analyses
• Assist with audits and compliance reporting
• Support Form 990 filings and related schedules
• Review AR/AP activity
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience required
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge
• General ledger and month-end close experience
• Audit support experience
• Exposure to Form 990 reporting
• AR/AP experience
• CPA preferred
• ERP experience preferred
