We’re Hiring: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Bristol, VA| Full-Time, Onsite
Annual Salary: $75,000–$85,000 base

Becker Global America is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and accounting operations across our multi-entity manufacturing organization.

This hands-on role partners with Finance and operational teams to maintain reliable financial records, strengthen internal controls, and improve accounting processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Support accounting and reporting: Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; perform month-end and year-end close activities; reconcile general ledger accounts; and assist with financial statements and consolidated reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet accuracy: Reconcile cash, intercompany accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounts while maintaining organized, audit-ready documentation.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting: Handle asset setup, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and Capital-in-Progress. Partner with operations to track capital expenditures and ensure proper capitalization.
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Provide backup assistance with invoicing, cash applications, payment processing, and reconciliations while maintaining appropriate financial controls.
  • Strengthen compliance and processes: Assist with audits and tax and regulatory reporting, investigate discrepancies, and identify opportunities for standardization and automation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Preferred: CPA designation or progress toward certification; manufacturing and multi-entity accounting experience; SAP or comparable ERP experience; and knowledge of IFRS.
