Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL DBA with strong experience in Application Managed Services (AMS) operations, as well as expertise in engineering and build activities. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of SQL Server environments while driving automation, modernization, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration & Operations
    • Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL Server databases across production, development, and test environments.
    • Perform routine maintenance, backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
    • Ensure high availability and performance tuning for mission-critical systems.
  • AMS Operations
    • Provide operational support for AMS-managed applications and databases.
    • Collaborate with AMS teams to resolve incidents, implement changes, and maintain SLAs.
    • Drive continuous improvement in AMS processes and automation.
  • Engineering & Build
    • Design and implement new SQL Server environments, including clustering, replication, and Always On Availability Groups.
    • Develop and maintain database build standards and deployment automation scripts.
    • Participate in infrastructure modernization projects (e.g., migration to cloud or hybrid environments).
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement and enforce database security policies, including role-based access control and encryption.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Work closely with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and client stakeholders.
    • Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership in database best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Technical Skills
    • 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with AMS operations and ITIL-based service management.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid database solutions.
    • Proficient in using SCOM for enterprise-level monitoring, alerting, and performance optimization.

    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
