The Senior Specialist, Shipboard Housekeeping Performance and Support supports the fleet-wide delivery of exceptional cleanliness, sanitations, product quality, and operational excellence across Rooms Division. This role strengthens shipboard performance through data analysis, technology enablement, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Specialist partners with shipboard and shoreside stakeholders to optimize inventory management, implement new systems and equipment, elevate guest experience, and maintain high standard of appearance and hygiene. The role upholds Princess'' Culture Essentials and The Princess Purpose service commitments while contributing directly to the fleet success and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Hotel Operations & Guest Experience

  • Research and recommend new technologies, chemicals, and equipment to enhance Rooms Division efficiency and product delivery.

  • Serve as the primary contact for Rooms Division technology development, coordinating with GuestView, Shoreside team, and shipboard leadership to launch enhancements.

  • Track ship appearance and cleanliness ratings, identifying variances to target.

  • Maintain and update Rooms Division SharePoint documents, HESS and MSPM updates, and inspection documentation

  • Prepare fleet communications, presentations, and meeting documentation to support shipboard teams in achieving operational standards.

Product Delivery & Operational Efficiency

  • Own, track and report Rooms Division shoreside performance targets.

  • Use dashboards and analytical tools to provide real-time visibility into operational performance, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and improvement areas.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, producing detailed operational insights for leadership.

  • Maintain asset condition reports and inventory transparency to support strategic resourcing.

  • Ensure accurate shoreside operational data capture, communication, and alignment to continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Responsibility

  • Manage the Rooms Division financial tracking tool and maintain financial visibility for fleet operations.

  • Analyze performance against budgets and forecasts, producing cost analyses and dashboards.

  • Identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities, offering strategic recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and shipboard teams to ensure cost-effective resource utilization

Team Development & Personnel

  • Model and reinforce Princess Culture Essentials and The Princess Purpose service principles across the Rooms Division team.

  • Support change management and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Encourage teammate driven ideas, assisting with development, approval and implementation processes.

  • Maintain knowledge of all Rooms Division shipboard roles and rotations to ensure accurate guidance and support planning.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support shipboard leadership in maintaining safe and compliant environments.

  • Ensure compliance with all HESS and US Public Health standards.

  • Assist in coordinating shipboard resources during outbreak situations requiring elected sanitation measures.

  • Review internal and external audit findings, supporting development of remediations plans and long term prevention strategies.

  • Scope: The Senior Specialist, Rooms Division plays a critical role in the operational success of Princess by supporting the largest and most guest-impacting department within the fleet. The role influences shipboard cleanliness standards, supports inventory management, and ensure data driven decision making to sustain high performance access all vessels. The role serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with technical, supply chain, hotel operations and shipboard leadership teams to drive consistent execution and support strategic initiatives that impact guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Problem solving: The role requires strong analytical capability to interpret performance data, identify operational root causes, and recommend improvements. It requires navigating evolving shipboard conditions, balancing operation standards with real-time constraints, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver solutions that support consistency, compliance and brand execution.

  • Impact: The Senior Specialist, Rooms Division directly supports the largest guest facing operational discipline in the fleet, enabling consistent delivery of cleanliness, product care and hygiene standards. The role impacts brand reputation, guest satisfaction and operational reliability by ensuring inventory accuracy, technology adoption and data-driven performance management across the fleet. Through analytical insights and cross functional collaboration, the role strengthens fleet readiness, supports cost efficient decision making, and enhances Rooms Division ability to maintain high-quality standards that shape the overall guest experience.

  • Leadership: While this role does not have direct leadship of a team, it requires strong influence and partnership across shipboard and shoreside stakeholders. The Senior Specialist must lead through expertise, guiding shipboard teams, supporting implementation of new processes and technologies and contributing to strategic operational improvements across Rooms Division. This role requires the ability to collaborate cross functionally, provide clear communication, support change management and service as a trusted subject matter resource to ensure consistency, compliance and operational excellence throughout the fleet.

Essential/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in hotel operations, housekeeping, or Rooms Division management (shipboard or shoreside)

  • Demonstrated experience with inventory management, cleanliness standards, or public health processes

  • Experience with data analysis, reporting and systems implementation

  • Strong operational understanding of hotel environments and guest experience drivers

Essential Experience Required:

  • Shipboard experience in Rooms Division operations

  • Experience with HESS, MSPM and public health compliance programs

  • Background in large-scale fleet or multi-site hotel operations

  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement or change management initiatives

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.
