Senior Specialist, Publication Manager - Hybrid

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Specialist, Publication Manager for a Hybrid position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in North Wales, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

The Publication Manager is the central source of information regarding publication activities and is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of publication plans and leading global Publication Teams. This role oversees compliance with our client's publication policies and procedures and works collaboratively with stakeholders on all levels both within and outside the company, including medical communication agencies. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Manage cross-functional Publication Teams in the development of comprehensive global publication plans and the execution of the plan deliverables
• Facilitate Publication Team Meeting discussions; prepare background materials, agendas and meeting notes
• Track all publication activity on assigned projects using the Datavision publications database and generate reports for stakeholders as needed
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with publication team members and publication committees
• Manage medical communications agencies and freelance writers as required
• Assist with managing publication planning budget with oversight from the Director/Associate Director
• Assist with congress plan activities including maintenance of presentation trackers, document trafficking, author travel request management, and archival of final versions
• Assist with reference requests, bibliography management, posting of study data packages for author access and delivery of protocol documents to journals
• Develop and maintain internal document repository sites for a therapeutic area
• Ensure that medical/scientific publication activities comply with industry standards and our client's Publication Policies and Procedures
• Provide regular and ad hoc publication process compliance training to Publication Teams
• Collaborate in the development of the Scientific Communication Platform and Lexicon for assigned products

Requirements:

• BS with 5+ years, or MS/PharmD with 1-2+ years of experience in a scientific discipline, publication management, or related area
• Relevant experience in project area of interest or strong scientific background
• Understanding of the clinical development process, clinical study data and outcomes measures
• Ability to acquire and maintain thorough understanding of industry and publications standards (GPP)
• Thorough in-depth understanding of the scientific and medical rationale for assigned projects
• Effective presentation skills and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• History of operational excellence and facilitation across diverse groups
• - Highly organized and capable of working with attention to detail
• Demonstrated accomplishment and skill in oral and written communication
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects
• Experience with Datavision publications database

Desired skills:

• Relevant work experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or academia setting
• A track-record of accomplishment in a publication management type role
• Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MS, PharmD) or a combination of equivalent experience and training

Pay range: up to $61.54 per hour
