Job Responsibilities:

Mission of the Position:

  • Use expertise and background in process management methods to
    • provide consulting to process teams to create coherent valuable processes and methods,
    • coach the process users and projects teams to apply processes and methods by actively participating in the project kick-off and actively offering further support,
    • drive analysis and resolution of issues with processes and workflows,
    • continuously improve processes, related documents and roles to be effective and efficient.
  • Ensure consistency and completeness of the process landscape with an End-to-End view including interfaces to non-engineering business processes.
  • Simplify the access to processes and related documents with the BIC Process Tool. The process framework is based on the MPT Engineering V-Model.
  • Initiate and drive process & methods projects according to strategic goals.
  • Promote cooperation and optimize the exchange of information within Magna Powertrain and with external experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent NA in global conversations regarding process and methods, assuring involvement and input
  • Support updating of the process landscape, including involvement in process teams
  • Address NA specific needs (especially in respect to NA customer base, requirements)
  • Provide project support starting with quoting, in project kickoff (including project team training, planning how project will effectively use eProcess Landscape in project, appropriate tailoring) and throughout the project to answer questions, concerns of NA user base
  • Provide support in NA for Continuous Improvement (Lessons Learned/Best Practices). Includes preparation and sharing of status to your team
  • Support NA in identifying systemic improvements into our process landscape
  • Partner with QA in coaching project teams and preparing for reviews, audits and assessments

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, I.T. required, or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' work-related experience with a degree, minimum 10 years' experience without a degree. Experience in powertrain systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of process models such as SPICE, Automotive SPICE, CMMI, IATF preferred.
  • Strong product development, planning (project management) and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership skills as well as strong mentorship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills.
