Senior Software Engineer – SAP FICO

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – SAP FICO to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions in a large enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert across SAP FICO modules, provide leadership on complex initiatives, and drive integration between Finance, Supply Chain, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Costing, and Profitability Analysis.
- Lead SAP Finance implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support initiatives.
- Design scalable finance solutions within SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Provide expertise in financial integration across Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes.
- Configure and support DMEE Trees, Electronic Bank Statements (BAI2 and MT940), and financial interfaces.
- Support EDI configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and integration activities.
- Mentor SAP team members and provide technical and functional leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, performance optimization, and system stability initiatives.
- Lead large-scale projects and influence enterprise SAP strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of SAP FICO experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience.
- Strong experience with:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Intercompany Accounting
- Profitability Analysis (COPA)
- Product Costing
- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- Full lifecycle SAP implementation experience.
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash integrations.
- Experience configuring DMEE Trees and EBS formats (BAI2, MT940).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP BRIM experience.
- FI-CA and Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) experience.
- SAP Digital Payments Add-on (DPA) experience.
- EDI integration experience.
- Leadership or team mentoring experience.
- Healthcare or large enterprise experience.
