Senior Software Engineer (Contract) 

Overview 

Looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Product, Network, and AI team. You will help build and scale supplier payment automation capabilities for the Supplier Payments Plus (SPP) platform, supporting reliable experiences across millions of transactions. 

What You’ll Do 

• 
  Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features. 
  

• 
  Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. 
  

• 
  Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement. 
  

• 
  Help translate business needs into practical technical designs and development plans. 
  

What You’ll Bring 

• 
  5+ years of professional software engineering experience. 
  

• 
  Strong experience building large-scale web applications and distributed systems. 
  

• 
  Proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript/Node.js. 
  

• 
  Experience with microservices, APIs, automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD. 
  

• 
  Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS. 
  

• 
  Ability to work effectively across teams, evaluate trade-offs, and drive projects to completion. 
  

Nice to Have 

• 
  Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks. 
  

Additional Preferred Experience 

• 
  Experience building payment platforms, supplier portals, or other financial technology products. 
  

• 
  Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures. 
  

This is a hands-on contract role focused on delivering reliable, scalable software in a fast-moving environment. 
Compensation: $80/hour
