Job Description:
- Client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer contractor to join the Working Capital Team.
- You ll help build and scale working capital capabilities for small businesses on Client platform,supporting reliable experiences across millions of transactions.
What You ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Help translate business needs into practical technical designs and development plans.
What You ll Bring
- At least 8 years of experience with a Bachelor s degree; 12+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Java Backend development experience
- Java programming experience, including writing testable code
- Experience writing unit test cases and automation test scripts to abide by Full Cycle Engineering
- Experience with merge methodologies using version control systems like GitLab, BitBucket etc
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, RDS, DynamoDB
- Experience with REST communication
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Experience in distributed system design, algorithms, logging framework
- Experience working on large scale, complex applications
- Experience designing and building scalable cloud-native applications that are deployed in one or more public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience in complex problem-solving in large-scale distributed systems, performance
- optimization, and high-availability systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience in more advanced or cutting-edge technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Serverless
- Architectures, AI/ML frameworks, Advanced Cloud Services).
- Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker.
- Experience in the payments industry or building payment applications.
