Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Platform
Location: Remote, Bethesda, MD
Duration: 12 months
Seeking for a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer to lead design, architecture, and custom development within a large-scale Salesforce environment. Work with modern web development practices, including Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, REST APIs, and GraphQL. Collaborate with various teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing platform solutions.
Core Work Activities:
- Lead Salesforce platform design and custom development using Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Act as a technical architect and hands-on Salesforce developer.
- Design technical architecture solutions integrating Salesforce with internal systems, focusing on security and performance.
- Make informed architectural decisions by evaluating tradeoffs and recommendations.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and guide the team on new features.
- Drive UX and design strategies to improve platform adoption and usability.
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and engineering teams.
- Develop and manage off-platform automation scripts using Python or similar tools.
- Support security efforts by reviewing Salesforce Shield event logs and related data.
- Champion engineering best practices for well-tested and maintainable code.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and constructive feedback.
- Customize tools, processes, and delivery practices to enhance team effectiveness.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 6 years of experience with Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components or Aura Components.
Preferred:
- Experience with user behavior analysis monitoring and alerting.
- Experience with DevOps processes; GitHub, Harness experience is a plus.
- High proficiency in JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, Python, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, DevOps, and application observability tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
