Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Pay: $90.00 $94.00/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week; core hours 10:00 AM 4:00 PM Eastern
Location: Plantation, FL 33324 Hybrid, 3 days onsite. Tuesday and Wednesday required; third day flexible.

Help modernize embedded software for a Linux-based hardware security module. Design, refactor, and transition applications to next-generation platforms while improving security, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills
- 5 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with embedded systems and software architectures.
- 3+ years of programming experience in C and/or C++.
- Experience with a real-time operating system.
- Experience with software configuration management and version control tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex multithreaded and concurrent applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to estimate, prioritize, and schedule development tasks.
Job Description
- Design, develop, refactor, and migrate embedded software to new platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, security, and test engineers to deliver quality products.
- Lead and contribute to requirements and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support products throughout their lifecycle.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and follow established development and release practices.
Preferred Skills
- Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, and RPC or similar inter-process communication technologies.
- Java, Python, or Golang.
- Cloud APIs using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and Linux virtual machines.
- REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and continuous integration.
- Agile/SAFe development practices.
- TLS/SSL and encryption security solutions.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Master s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
