Senior Software Engineer

This applies to direct care staff (Examples: RN, LPN, Nurse Aides, Therapists) referred to Kentucky nursing facilities, assisted living communities, or long-term care facilities, in accordance with KRS 216.793. Collaborate with product owners, usability designers, end users, and business and technology partners during requirements discovery, usability sessions, solution development, testing, and implementation.

Russell Tobin is partnering with a top Healthcare company to identify a Senior Software Engineer for a DIRECET HIRE - REMOTE opening.  

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack solutions using React.js front ends and C#/.NET back-end services to address prioritized business requirements.
• Rewrite and modernize custom legacy applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices, including large language models (LLMs), AI developer tools, code generation, and workflow automation, to improve development efficiency and software quality.
• Integrate AI-powered features into products and support modern software development and delivery practices.
• Ensure comprehensive automated unit, system, and regression testing coverage before launching new features, including writing manual and automated test cases using NUnit.
• Perform independent verification and validation of software components developed by peers, execute test plans, and conduct coding and design reviews to ensure production readiness.
• Follow Agile and DevOps processes throughout requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, quality assurance, version control, deployment, troubleshooting, and change management.
• Apply strong DevSecOps principles to ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with PCI and HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, usability designers, end users, and business and technology partners during requirements discovery, usability sessions, solution development, testing, and implementation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation covering current software functionality, design decisions, and historical development processes.
• Work within established architecture standards and design patterns to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Assess solution quality, deployment logistics, and production readiness throughout the Agile software development life cycle.

 
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in object-oriented software development and maintenance using technologies such as C#, .NET Core, and Razor Pages.
• Strong full-stack development experience, including React.js front-end development and .NET back-end services.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure API Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and REST services.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and practices, including LLM-based developer tools, code generation, and workflow automation.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, particularly Azure Cosmos DB.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and the implementation of solutions integrating multiple data sources.
• Experience writing and executing automated unit, system, and regression test cases using NUnit.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, including integrating security into application code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and other developers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and software quality assurance skills.
• Microsoft solutions certifications, preferably in solution architecture, are preferred.
• Understanding of Azure Data Factory is a plus.

• Pay rate: $120K–$158K/yr. depending on experience
