Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS)

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS) for their Plano, TX/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support scalable Java-based applications.
• Build and optimize REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Ensure application security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with 11 to 13 years of experience in enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications.
• Required Skills
• Mandatory AWS Certification (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate)
• 11+ years of IT experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java J2EE
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data
• RESTful APIs and Microservices
• Docker
• Git
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Preferred Skills
• AWS Cloud Services
• ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js
• Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Agile/Scrum development methodologies
