What You Will Do

• Design, build, and operate the systems connecting the platform with customers' ERPs and other enterprise systems.
• Become a technical expert in one or more major healthcare ERP ecosystems, including Workday, Oracle, and Infor.
• Build integrations across APIs, data feeds, databases, files, and other enterprise data sources.
• Own how data moves into and out of customer environments.
• Transform, join, and reconcile complex data across disparate customer systems into reliable formats used by the product and its customers.
• Work directly with customer technical teams to understand their environments, scope integration requirements, and troubleshoot difficult data problems.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into reliable, maintainable software.
• Build internal tooling that automates repetitive implementation, onboarding, and support workflows.
• Identify recurring customer needs and turn one-off custom implementations into configurable, reusable platform capabilities.
• Make pragmatic decisions between configuration and custom code based on speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Own integration reliability end-to-end, including monitoring, alerting, error handling, and reconciliation.
• Help evolve the architecture, standards, and engineering patterns used across the integration platform.
• Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and developer tooling supporting integration engineering.
• Partner closely with Product, Implementation, Customer Success, and Data Engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, testing standards, and technical planning.

Ideal Background

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Meaningful experience building customer-facing integrations, data integrations, or backend systems that move data between platforms.
• Strong production experience with Python for integrations, transformations, automation, and internal tooling.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex transformations and performance tuning against large, messy datasets.
• Experience working with complex enterprise data rather than only clean, internally controlled datasets.
• Comfortable owning integrations from initial requirements through production operation and ongoing reliability.
• Strong customer-facing skills and comfortable working directly with technical teams at enterprise customers.
• Able to take ambiguous integration requirements and independently translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of the tradeoffs between building one-off customer solutions and reusable platform capabilities.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across interconnected systems.
• Comfortable collaborating across Engineering, Product, Implementation, Customer Success, and other technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable contributing to architectural decisions while remaining highly hands-on.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar tools as part of the software development workflow.

Preferred

• Experience integrating with enterprise ERP platforms such as Workday, Oracle, Infor, or Meditech.
• Experience working with enterprise integration patterns including APIs, flat files, event streams, and database extracts.
• Experience with React and TypeScript for internal tooling or customer-facing configuration interfaces.
• Experience building agentic AI features, LLM-powered workflows, or applied AI automation in production.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, and RDS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or similar technologies.
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices.
• Background in healthcare technology, healthcare supply chain, or enterprise SaaS integrations.
• Experience with data quality, master data management, and reconciliation patterns.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $140,000–$180,000.

• During the first 90 days, this engineer is expected to progress from learning the integration architecture and key customer deployments to independently delivering new integrations and ultimately shipping improvements that measurably reduce implementation time, support burden, or integration failures.
• Longer term, this engineer will help shape the technical strategy and architecture for how the platform connects with a growing number of enterprise customer systems.
• Best suited for a hands-on backend/integrations engineer who enjoys working directly with customers, untangling messy enterprise data, and turning recurring integration problems into durable software.
