Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD with Jenkins and a proven ability to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native microservices and APIs across the full SDLC.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.
  • Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
  • Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for build, test, and deployment automation.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems via APIs, messaging, and cloud services.
  • Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and application monitoring.
  • Implement security best practices, coding standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements for performance and efficiency.
  • Support production deployments and resolve application issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java.
  • Strong experience with Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented design principles.
  • Hands-on experience building microservices with Spring Boot.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and API integration.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
  • Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with Git and source code management practices.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security principles.
  • AWS Certification such as Developer Associate or Solutions Architect is a plus.
