Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Peraton’s Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a senior SoftwareEngineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining systems running in a containerized environment. This position is 100% on-site.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience considered in lieu of a degree requirement
• 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux
• 2+ years of experience with software architecture/design
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• 2+ years of experience with Python
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Shell Script
• Experience developing an application that runs in a containerized environment
• Ability to lead a team of 3-5 engineers
• TS/SCI with current CI poly

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience with JavaScript
• Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
• Familiarity with NiFi
• Experience with cross-domain systems

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
