We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to support critical development and onboarding initiatives within the Data Governance team. This role is ideal for engineers with strong systems fundamentals, hands-on distributed systems experience, and a passion for building high-quality, scalable platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Opportunity for You:
This position is ideal for senior-level engineers with expertise in Infrastructure as Code, AWS, Kubernetes, strong coding skills in Java, Scala, and/or Golang, and large-scale distributed systems. You'll be building a back-end data platform critical for our internal teams to create sophisticated agent systems efficiently. This is an opportunity to help shape the foundation of a high-impact, large-scale system in its early stages.

Key Success Factors:

• 6 years of Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or similar with strong proficiency in Java, Scala, and/or Golang.
  • Hands-on experience developing large-scale web applications, backend services, or platforms, including REST services and backend architecture.
  • Strong coding fundamentals with the ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and perform high-quality code reviews in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Large-Scale Distributed Systems Experience:
  • Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
  • Strong understanding of distributed architectures, scalability, reliability, and system performance.
  • Experience building highly available and scalable backend platforms and services.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and identify performance or reliability issues.
• Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code:
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or similar IaC tools.
  • Experience managing Kubernetes deployments and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including operating and managing production clusters.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes networking, service configuration, and cluster operations.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, S3, and RDS).

Nice to Haves:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science.
• Prior experience in SRE/DevOps or customer-facing/consulting roles.
• Experience with CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and other service operations.
