    As part of the thinkorswim Save team, you will help build the next generation of AI-powered solutions that enhance client experiences, improve business outcomes, and advance Schwab's innovation strategy. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud technology, data platforms, and Generative AI while partnering with architects, engineers, data scientists, and business leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

    In this role, you will design and develop production-grade applications and data solutions that enable AI capabilities across enterprise platforms. You will help drive the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and vendor-provided AI technologies by building reliable data pipelines, cloud-native services, and operational frameworks that support quality, scalability, and performance. Your work will directly influence how AI solutions are deployed, monitored, and optimized across the organization.

    What you have

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or related experience delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
    • 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience focused on application development, integrations, automation, and data processing.
    • Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based applications and distributed systems.
    • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as Cloud Run, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Dataflow, or comparable cloud-native technologies.
    • Experience integrating APIs, cloud services, and enterprise applications to support scalable business solutions.
    • Strong understanding of data quality, data validation, monitoring, and data integrity practices.
    • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions.
    • Experience developing automated testing strategies, validating outputs, and supporting software quality practices.
    • Experience using source control, pipeline, code versioning, and modern software development methodologies.
    • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience integrating Generative AI solutions and Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
    • Experience supporting AI-enabled products, including deployment, monitoring, observability, and operational support.
    • Experience working with cloud-based AI platforms and vendor-provided AI technologies.
    • Experience building scalable data platforms that support AI and advanced analytics solutions.
    • Strong understanding of AI application architecture, data preparation, testing, deployment validation, and performance evaluation.
    • Experience developing highly reliable and observable production systems.
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills within cross-functional environments.
    • Experience supporting financial services, trading platforms, or highly regulated environments.

    In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
