Description

The role

Most people have never heard of Landing.

That's our biggest marketing challenge, and our biggest opportunity. When people discover us, they quickly realize there's a better alternative to hotels, Airbnbs, or traditional leases. The problem is most people don't know that alternative exists.

As our Senior Social Media Manager, you'll change that.

You'll own our social presence from end to end, building both organic and paid social into a growth engine that drives awareness, engagement, and, ultimately, booked apartments. This isn't social for the sake of likes or impressions. Success is measured by real business impact: introducing Landing to new audiences and turning that attention into customers.

You'll be the first person to own this function. Reporting to the Senior Director of Performance Marketing, you'll have the budget, creative freedom, and autonomy to experiment, move quickly, and build a social program from the ground up, without waiting on layers of approvals.

What you'll own

  • Paid social across Meta, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and whatever earns its place next. Full budget authority. Measured on booked revenue and customer acquisition cost, tested for incrementality — not last-click.
  • Organic social as a real channel, not a posting calendar. Voice, format, cadence, and a point of view worth following. Judged on audience growth, engagement that converts, and lift in people searching for us by name.
  • The creative itself. You'll write it, direct it, and in a lot of cases make it. We're not going to hand you finished assets and ask you to buy against them.
  • Testing. Audiences, hooks, formats, landing pages. Weekly cycles, documented results, and a real answer to "did this add anything we wouldn't have gotten anyway."
  • Some owner-facing content. Roughly 20% of our audience is multifamily owners and asset managers, mostly on LinkedIn. Different message, same discipline.

The creative bar

  • Our best-performing work names what's wrong with the alternatives. It's sharp, specific, and occasionally funny. It is not a beautifully shot film about belonging.
  • If your portfolio is all polished brand work with no performance behind it, this probably isn't a fit. If you've made scrappy work that outperformed the expensive stuff and you can prove it, send that.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years running paid social with real budget authority, you've personally owned the spend and been accountable for its return, not just its delivery.
  • You make things. Copy, static, short-form video, whatever the platform is rewarding this quarter. Concept to post, without waiting on a designer.
  • Organic instincts. You know what makes people stop scrolling and what makes them follow, and you can tell the difference between a post that performed and a post that mattered.
  • You test properly. Holdouts, geo splits, or something equally honest. You know why platform-reported ROAS is generous.
  • Numbers don't scare you. CAC, payback, contribution. You can defend a budget request with math.
  • AI in your daily workflow, with a real point of view, what you've used it to generate, iterate, and automate, and where it falls down.
  • Volume over polish. Something imperfect this week beats something perfect next month.

What we offer

  • Opportunities for upward mobility - we want you to grow with us!
  • Competitive compensation

  • Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, mental health, pet, commuter benefits, and FSA or HSA options

  • Generous paid time off policy to support work-life balance
  • Travel perk: $750 USD annually in Landing Stays
