    DDM Group is seeking a Senior Content Producer, Social & Audience to lead social-first storytelling that grows our audience, drives engagement and strengthens our brands across platforms.

    This role combines storytelling, social media, newsroom experience and audience development. The ideal candidate has strong editorial instincts and can identify stories that matter to our audience across politics, entertainment, culture, history, the diaspora and beyond-then find compelling ways to tell those stories specifically for social platforms.

    This is a hands-on leadership role. The Senior Content Producer will manage and direct a team of Social Content Producers while developing stories, editing content, shaping creative execution and setting the standard for quality, accuracy and performance.

    Reporting to the VP of Audience Development, this person will help define how DDM's brands show up on social and expand their reach with new and existing audiences.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop original, social-first stories designed to drive engagement, audience growth and brand affinity.

    • Identify compelling stories, conversations and cultural moments across politics, entertainment, culture, history, the diaspora and other areas relevant to our audience.

    • Find fresh angles that turn reporting, interviews, archival material, cultural conversations and original ideas into engaging social content.

    • Remain hands-on in production, including writing platform copy, editing short-form video, creating or directing graphics, publishing content and reviewing final work.

    • Manage and direct Social Content Producers by setting priorities, assigning projects, reviewing work and maintaining high standards for quality and output.

    • In collaboration with the VP of Audience Development, establish individual and team performance goals, coach staff and provide clear, direct and actionable feedback.

    • Lead the team through breaking news and high-volume publishing periods, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, on deadline and optimized for each platform.

    • Develop platform-specific strategies for packaging, scheduling, optimization, publishing and distribution.

    • Work with internal teams and external content creators to develop stories across a range of formats.

    • Partner with Editorial, Audience Development, Video and other teams to develop ideas and extend major stories across social platforms.

    • Communicate publishing timelines clearly and follow up with editorial teams regarding story promotion and performance.

    • Monitor comments and audience conversations, identify emerging themes and turn relevant discussions into content opportunities.

    • Use platform and audience data to understand what resonates, evaluate performance and inform future storytelling and growth strategies.
