Senior Snowflake Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and architectural support across trading, ERP, and transactional systems. Design and implement data transformations, mappings, and reusable UDFs across ingestion layers to ensure data quality and consistency.

Our client is seeking a Senior Snowflake Engineer with 10–15 years of experience to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and architectural support across trading, ERP, and transactional systems.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Build and maintain automated and manual data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake, with support for diverse data sources and formats
• Design and implement data transformations, mappings, and reusable UDFs across ingestion layers to ensure data quality and consistency
• Optimize Snowflake workloads and pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Support architectural decisions regarding cloud connectivity, platform configuration, and warehouse/lakehouse design patterns
• Deliver prioritized use cases through iterative cycles including design, build, UAT, operational testing, and production deployment
• Establish and document reusable platform capabilities and best practices to accelerate future use case delivery
• Support production readiness, deployment, rollback, recovery, and business continuity procedures
• Collaborate on complex data modeling for transactional systems, trading platforms, and ERP environments

Requirements

• 10–15 years of hands-on experience with data engineering, cloud platforms, and SQL-based data warehousing
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake including performance tuning, access controls, and multi-layer architecture patterns
• Strong expertise in AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, EMR, and Redshift
• Demonstrated experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and lakehouse/warehouse architectural patterns
• Background building data solutions for transactional systems, trading platforms, or ERP environments
• Solid understanding of cloud-based data architectures and scalability considerations
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development practices
