Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help advance our platform operations across Windows, Linux, and cloud-native environments. This role is pivotal in transforming our organization from application-specific support to a platform-focused reliability engineering model.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), container orchestration, and automation, enabling the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure that supports a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
Platform Reliability & Cloud Engineering
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of production systems across Windows, Linux, and GCP environments.
Design, engineer, and support containerized workloads using Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker.
Lead infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and GCP-native tools.
Drive the evolution toward scalable microservices architectures.
Automation & Observability
Develop and maintain automation scripts and pipelines to reduce manual effort and accelerate response times.
Implement observability practices using SLIs/SLOs, Prometheus, Grafana, and GCP Operations Suite.
Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and telemetry across hybrid environments.
Incident Management & Resilience
Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis (RCA) and postmortem reviews.
Design and implement self-healing systems and automated remediation workflows using scripting and GCP-native services.
Security & Compliance
Partner with Information Security teams to enforce system hardening standards and vulnerability management processes.
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and container platforms, incorporating IAM, encryption, and policy enforcement.
Support compliance initiatives in regulated environments.
Collaboration & Enablement
Work closely with developers, application owners, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, cloud-native platforms.
Create and maintain documentation, including runbooks, configurations, and operational procedures.
Promote best practices and enable cross-team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:

Technical Expertise
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Shell
Hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Monitoring)
Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code
Solid understanding of Linux system administration and hybrid cloud environments
Systems & Networking
Additional Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes
Exposure to ServiceNow, load balancers, certificate management, and endpoint protection tools
Certifications (Preferred)
CISSP, Security+
GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer or similar
Industry Experience
Experience working in Financial Services or other highly regulated environments is a plus
