Description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $45.48hr - $50.48hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field).
  • 2 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, AIAG Core Tools, and metrology software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous improvement projects to ensure defect-free manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP requirements.
  • Perform GD&T analysis and use PolyWorks for 3D measurement and part validation.
  • Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) to resolve internal and external quality issues.
  • Serve as a resource for metrology, SPC, and MSA (Gage R&R) studies.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation.
  • Work with manufacturing, tooling, and customers to manage change and resolve nonconformities.
  • Coach less experienced team members in quality practices and core tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with CMM programming or 3D scanning.
  • Knowledge of 6S, welding processes, or Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Proficiency in Minitab or advanced Excel for statistical analysis.
