Senior ServiceNow Administrator and Release LeadRemote
Grant Leading Technology is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Administrator and Release Lead to provide technical leadership, architecture, system administration, technical governance, integration oversight, release management and sustainment support for ServiceNow and Nuvolo solutions in a federal environment. This role serves as a senior technical resource for the FAA FRAMES platform and is responsible for maintaining platform stability while ensuring incident fixes, enhancements, integrations, and technical solutions follow approved architecture, design, configuration, and release standards and support evolving business requirements.
The position provides hands-on ServiceNow/Nuvolo administration while establishing technical standards, providing architectural guidance, mentoring development resources, and supporting knowledge transfer and continuity of the FRAMES environment.
This position is remote, and the standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
Responsibilities:
ServiceNow / Nuvolo Administrator and Technical Governance
Lead ServiceNow/Nuvolo administration (configure/administer/enhance), platform configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and technical readiness for FAA FRAMES
Serve as senior technical control point for solution architecture, system design, code/configuration review, integrations, and platform standards
Review and approve architecture, technical designs, code, configurations, integrations, and deployment packages to ensure alignment with approved architecture, security, maintainability, and best practices
Administer users, groups, roles, access controls, system properties, scheduled jobs, notifications, application configurations, certificates, and related platform settings
Review integration designs and integration control documents (ICDs); and provide technical oversight for upstream/downstream interfaces, REST APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, import sets, transform maps, and scheduled interfaces
Monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex application/integration/configuration issues, and lead root-cause analysis for significant incidents and recurring problems
Establish and enforce architecture / technical design, development, configuration, code-review, documentation, and platform-governance standards
Provide architectural guidance, technical estimation, solution planning, oversight and mentoring to developers while performing hands-on development for complex troubleshooting or critical remediation, as needed
Work with Nuvolo Technical Account Management to assess existing platform configurations, and to identify technical debt, undocumented dependencies, unnecessary customizations, security / performance concerns, and opportunities for improvement
Lead knowledge retention (e.g., documentation) and knowledge transfer covering architecture, configuration, integration, dataflow, and operational documentation
Follow and enforce GLT and client standards for security, accessibility, governance, configuration management, change control, and release management
Release Lead
Develop and maintain release roadmaps and schedules in coordination with PMO Support, Functional Analyst, Technical Delivery Lead, developers, and testers
Lead release planning, readiness reviews, configuration management, deployment coordination, rollback planning, and post-release validation
Ensure releases have completed required design/code reviews, testing, approvals, documentation, and deployment-readiness activities, including ServiceNow Flow Designer flows, workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, APIs, scheduled processes, and other platform components
Coordinate ServiceNow/Nuvolo upgrades, patches, fixes, enhancements, system/regression testing and phased or incremental releases
Use ServiceNow SDLC capabilities to support user-story traceability, sprint/release planning, testing, and deployment tracking
Coordinate release risks, dependencies, upstream/downstream integration impacts, and technical issues with the Technical Delivery Lead and project stakeholders
Support change-control activities and provide release status, readiness, risks, and post-release results to PMO Support and FAA stakeholders
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or a related field
Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of enterprise application development, platform engineering, system administration, or related information technology experience
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant hands-on ServiceNow Technical Lead / Administrator / Architecture experience
Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and capabilities including tables, forms, users, groups, roles, ACLs, workflows, notifications, reports, dashboards, system properties, scheduled jobs, application configuration, and environment management
Working knowledge of ServiceNow development technologies including JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, APIs, and integration technologies sufficient to guide development teams, perform code reviews, and support complex troubleshooting activities
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and supporting integrations between ServiceNow and other upstream and downstream enterprise systems
Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, MID Server, REST APIs, web services, authentication mechanisms, or comparable enterprise integration technologies
Demonstrated hands-on experience with ServiceNow system administration, troubleshooting, production support, upgrades, releases, and platform maintenance
Experience architecting or designing ServiceNow solutions involving multiple applications, integrations, business functions, or user communities
Experience diagnosing and resolving complex application, platform, integration, data, workflow, security, and performance issues
Experience with configuration management, change management, release management, application lifecycle management, and structured software-development practices
Familiarity with ServiceNow SDLC tools and Agile/Scrum delivery practices including user stories, backlog management, sprints, tasks, acceptance criteria, testing, and release traceability
Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, conduct design/code reviews, and mentor development resources
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical, architecture, troubleshooting, problem-solving, leadership, and technical documentation skills
Must be able to pass a federal background check or obtain a federal public trust clearance
Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or other advanced ServiceNow certification
Significant hands-on experience administering, configuring, developing, or architecting Nuvolo applications
Experience with Nuvolo solutions supporting enterprise asset management, facilities management, property management, work management, maintenance management, or related business processes
Experience serving as both a hands-on ServiceNow/Nuvolo administrator and senior developer or technical architect
Experience assuming technical responsibility for an existing ServiceNow/Nuvolo environment and supporting platform transition, stabilization, or knowledge transfer
Experience supporting federal government clients, particularly FAA or Department of Transportation environments
Experience with ServiceNow SDLC/Agile capabilities used to manage user stories, Scrum teams, sprints, testing, and application delivery
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar collaboration, Agile, and technical documentation tools
Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, asset/configuration management, Discovery, or related data-governance capabilities
Experience with platform architecture, technical governance, configuration management, change management, release management, accessibility, information management, or SOP development
Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements and security controls applicable to enterprise platforms
