JOB SUMMARY

The Immunobiology group is seeking a 6-month contracted Senior Scientist to support product development of novel protein therapeutics for oncology indications by characterizing the biologic activity of molecules using in vitro and in vivo experimental approaches. The focus of this position will be to lead the design, planning, execution and documentation of humanized in vivo experiments to study the efficacy and mechanism of action for investigational therapeutics.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge and expertise in immunology and a solid understanding of oncology, a track record of driving scientific projects independently and coordinating across functional teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and conduct humanized in vivo models for the evaluation of lead bispecific and multispecific molecules for oncology (solid tumor) indications
  • Oversee and implement all aspects of efficacy studies utilizing rodent cancer models
  • Culturing of mammalian tumor cells
  • Subcutaneous and orthotopic implantation of tumor cell xenografts into mice
  • Compound dosing by all routes, followed by blood and tissue collection measurements of tumor burden and metastatic growth and incidence
  • In vivo imaging studies to follow tumor burden and determine efficacy
  • Perform ex vivo efficacy studies utilizing human normal and tumor samples
  • Evaluate in vitro activity of antibodies, bispecific and multispecific molecules against oncology targets of interest
  • Investigate the mechanism of action and toxicity for bispecific and multispecific molecules
  • Ex vivo analysis of cells isolated from in vivo studies to assess mechanism of action
  • Preparing scientific communication and documentation such as protocols and reports
  • Assist in the selection and management of academic collaborations and Contract Research Organizations
