    Job Description:

    The Opportunity
     

    As a Senior SAP Business Process Owner, you will provide business ownership for one or more end-to-end SAP S/4HANA process domains, helping align business operations, system capabilities, and master data governance. You will work across business and technology teams to establish consistent processes, support adoption of new ways of working, improve data quality, and enable measurable process performance. Through process stewardship and collaboration with key stakeholders, you will help ensure SAP solutions effectively support operational needs and continuous improvement.
     

    How You’ll Make an Impact
     

    • Own the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of assigned end-to-end SAP S/4HANA processes.

    • Maintain process maps, work instructions, SOPs, and visual job aids.

    • Define and enforce master data quality rules and governance practices.

    • Translate business needs into functional specifications and validate technical solutions.

    • Lead user acceptance testing, including scenario design, authorization validation, and defect triage.

    • Partner with function champions and site subject matter resources to identify issues and verify solutions.

    • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators for the process domain.

    • Design and deliver role-based training while supporting adoption of process and system changes.

    • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.


    Your Background
     

    • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; or 12+ years of hands-on SAP experience and demonstrated passion for the platform in lieu of a degree.

    • 10+ years in business process, operations, marketing and sales, or SAP functional roles, including 5+ years with accountable ownership of an end-to-end process.

    • Experience applying AI tools to business or technical work and experience leading user acceptance testing and cutover or hyper-care activities on a major SAP program.

    • Deep hands-on SAP S/4HANA knowledge, or ECC with migration experience, in at least one core module with the ability to work across related modules.

    • Demonstrated master data expertise, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to specify and validate data extracts.

    • Lean/Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, or SAP certification.
