About the Opportunity

A leading enterprise consulting organization is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to lead the recovery and stabilization of a large-scale SAP environment hosted on AWS.

This role is ideal for someone with deep SAP Basis expertise who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, leading enterprise recovery efforts, and partnering with technical teams to improve platform resiliency. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical execution with strategic consulting to help restore critical business systems and establish long-term operational stability.

What You'll Tackle:

• Lead the recovery and restoration of enterprise SAP environments hosted on AWS.
• Assess existing SAP infrastructure and develop comprehensive recovery strategies.
• Install, configure, and restore SAP systems across enterprise environments.
• Execute SAP system copy, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Validate application functionality, database integrity, and overall system health.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, performance, and availability issues.
• Provide guidance on SAP licensing considerations throughout restoration activities.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, database, and engineering teams to coordinate recovery efforts.
• Develop technical documentation, recovery procedures, and operational recommendations.
• Recommend improvements to disaster recovery, resiliency, and operational best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• Extensive experience installing, configuring, and administering SAP environments.
• Hands-on experience performing SAP system restores, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong SAP HANA administration experience.
• Experience supporting Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or comparable enterprise databases.
• Experience supporting SAP environments hosted on AWS.
• Strong infrastructure architecture and systems administration background.
• Expertise in backup, recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise performance and system stability issues.
• Excellent consulting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience supporting SAP ECC environments.
• AWS cloud architecture experience.
• Cloud migration and modernization project experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise SAP transformation initiatives.
• SAP Basis certification.
