SENIOR SALES MANAGER – TIRE MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT Direct HireRemote position | 20–30% travel | North America with occasional international travelWage target - between $120-140k SUMMARY:Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to drive sales and customer development throughout North America. This is a highly specialized technical sales role focused on tire manufacturing machinery, tire uniformity grading systems, tire testing equipment, and related automation solutions. The ideal candidate has significant experience selling capital equipment or production machinery directly to tire manufacturers and understands the technical and commercial aspects of complex equipment sales. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop new business and expand relationships with existing tire manufacturing customers.
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close complex capital equipment opportunities.
  • Sell tire uniformity grading, tire testing, wheel and tire processing machinery, and related automation solutions.
  • Build relationships with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, operations, and executive-level contacts.
  • Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, equipment discussions, and sales meetings.
  • Understand customer manufacturing processes, production requirements, specifications, and project objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into practical machinery and automation solutions.
  • Review customer specifications, equipment requirements, and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and global teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage opportunities through contract award, installation, and follow-up.
  • Represent the organization at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Share customer and market intelligence to support business and product strategy.
 REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of production machinery or capital equipment sales experience within the tire manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated experience selling machinery, automation, testing equipment, or related technical solutions to tire manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of tire manufacturing environments and production equipment.
  • Established network of contacts and customer relationships within the tire manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record developing and closing large, complex, long-cycle capital equipment opportunities.
  • Ability to understand AutoCAD drawings, customer specifications, technical requirements, and industrial machinery concepts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing opportunities independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and sales teams across multiple countries and time zones.
 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Current experience selling tire uniformity, tire grading, tire testing, or related tire manufacturing machinery.
  • Experience managing global sales opportunities involving multiple regions or business units.
  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop custom machinery or automation solutions.
  • Experience working with international customers, suppliers, and culturally diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of tire manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry trends.
