Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Sales Data Operations Analyst to support the integrity, accuracy, and strategic value of sales and asset data across U.S. and Canadian retail businesses.
This is a senior-level individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and visibility across Sales, Finance, Product, Distribution, and Technology teams. You will play a critical role in managing external data sources, ensuring data quality, and supporting enterprise reporting initiatives that drive sales insight and business decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical capability with intellectual curiosity, operational discipline, and a desire to expand scope and impact over time.
Key Responsibilities
Data Acquisition & Vendor Management
Manage day-to-day engagement with external sales data providers (e.g., SS&C SalesConnect, Broadridge), including monitoring data delivery, validating configurations, and maintaining business rules.
Support onboarding and integration of new data sources into reporting and analytics environments.
Data Quality & Reconciliation
Perform reconciliations against books of record across mutual funds, ETFs, and managed account platforms.
Investigate discrepancies, conduct root-cause analysis, and document findings and resolution steps.
Maintain strong data quality controls throughout the acquisition, transformation, and aggregation lifecycle.
Reporting & Business Partnership
Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting to support sales insights, asset visibility, and executive decision-making.
Partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Distribution, and Product teams to translate business needs into reliable reporting solutions.
Serve as a subject matter resource for sales data definitions, reporting logic, and downstream impacts.
Operational Governance & Process Improvement
Document standard operating procedures, exception workflows, and data governance processes.
Support reallocations, territory updates, and data corrections in alignment with established governance frameworks.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase transparency and reduce manual effort.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in asset management operations, sales operations, data operations, or a related financial services role.
Strong understanding of:
Mutual fund and ETF operations
Intermediary distribution data
Managed account platforms
Transaction processing and shareholder accounting concepts
Experience working with external data vendors and operational data feeds.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to confidently work with large datasets.
Solid understanding of data management principles, stewardship, and data quality controls.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data issues into clear, business-friendly explanations.
Comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Demonstrated interest in expanding scope and developing deeper expertise across the sales data ecosystem.
