    Baptist Downtown Protective Services is hiring a Senior Safety Specialist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity at Baptist Downtown.

    Senior Safety Specialist Job Responsibilities:

    • This role provides organization-wide leadership, consultation, and technical expertise in workplace safety, life safety, hazardous materials management, and emergency preparedness.
    • Oversees safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, including The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, OSHA, and other governing agencies.
    • Coordinates safety training, incident investigations, emergency preparedness activities, and life safety initiatives while serving as a key resource for regulatory readiness and risk mitigation.
    • Leads Environment of Care and safety committees, develops policies and procedures, manages hazardous materials and decontamination programs, and partners with organizational leaders to promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all facilities.

    Senior Safety Specialist Experience:

    • 3-5 Years Healthcare Experience

    Senior Safety Specialist Education & Credential Requirements:

    • High School Diploma Required
    • Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) Required
    • Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) Required
