    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Senior Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating company-wide safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts. This position serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner to management while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor. The Senior Safety Coordinator will be assigned a primary location while supporting safety efforts across both company locations. The employee may periodically travel to and provide support for other company locations as business needs require.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs and policies.

    • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, OSHA, and environmental regulations.

    • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-up.

    • Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis activities.

    • Develop, update, and administer safety policies, procedures, and training materials.

    • Coordinate safety metrics, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation.

    • Develop and deliver employee, supervisor, and leadership safety training.

    • Partner with department leaders to identify hazards and reduce risk.

    • Support environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste management and reporting.

    • Lead safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.

    • Serve as backup and advisor to leadership concerning safety and regulatory matters.

    • Support both company locations while maintaining primary responsibility for one assigned location
