Title: Senior Research Associate (Molecular Contract)
Location: San Carlos, CA

Summary:
"GigaGen, a subsidiary of Client, discovers and develops next-generation recombinant antibody therapeutics. Our core technology utilizes a microfluidic droplet system to capture and immortalize diverse immune repertoires, which can then be mined for exceptional monoclonals or enriched and used as high-potency polyclonal therapeutics. We have two products in clinical trials and a broad preclinical pipeline targeting infectious and autoimmune diseases.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to support our diverse antibody therapeutics pipeline. This position will offer exposure to drug development, from early research through development/manufacturing, with ample opportunity to learn new methods, design experiments, and present your work. "

Primary responsibilities for role:
• Plan for and perform a wide range of experimental molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid extraction
• Processing primary cell samples
• Flow cytometry
• Work with E. coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae
• Contribute to new product development
• Compile and analyze test data for study reports and prepare & present PowerPoint presentations
• Document and communicate results in a comprehensive and accurate manner
• Coordinate activities with functional groups and project teams
• Discuss experiments and present data to project team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
"• Proficiency in one or more of the following molecular biology techniques: PCR, cloning, nucleic acid extraction
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to design and execute experiments with minimal technical supervision
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving activities
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
Exp:
3+ years (Bachelor's), 2+ years (Master's)
