ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior origination and relationship management opportunity within the Asset Based Lending group of a well-established commercial bank, offering full ownership across ABL business development, portfolio management, and team leadership for the middle market and commercial client segment. The role carries a true origination mandate building and expanding client relationships, driving new ABL business, and leveraging a strong referral network while also managing a team of relationship managers and support staff. It's an ideal fit for a seasoned ABL professional with a proven sales track record, deep credit fundamentals, and the executive presence to represent the bank with middle market clients, retail banking partners, and external referral sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead ABL origination efforts by developing new relationships with middle market and commercial clients;acquire qualified referrals from existing clients, investors, and retail banking partners
  • Manage and maintain existing customer relationships;negotiate approved terms and conditions with borrowers and structure transactions to meet client needs within credit policy guidelines
  • Analyze financial statements and perform underwriting duties across ABL transactions;administer existing loan portfolios and ensure ongoing compliance with loan terms
  • Cross-sell other bank products and services including Treasury, FX, and derivative products to deepen wallet share and enhance overall client relationships
  • Identify and analyze potential loan markets to develop prospects for commercial loans;advise senior management on external factors impacting lending policies including new or revised legislation and regulations
  • Recommend and implement appropriate changes to policies and procedures based on market developments and regulatory changes
  • Manage and lead a team of relationship managers and support staff;coordinate back office resources to deliver effective full-service solutions to clients
  • Support other duties as required by senior management
