Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Refrigeration Manager

to lead industrial refrigeration operations, maintenance, and compliance across multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with

industrial ammonia refrigeration, Process Safety Management (PSM), refrigeration machinery, and food manufacturing environments . This role will also provide leadership to refrigeration and utility teams while ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations.

Mandatory Requirements

Must be completely fluent in

PSM (Process Safety Management)

and refrigeration machinery.

Strong hands-on and management experience in an

industrial refrigeration environment .

Extensive

ammonia refrigeration

experience.

Food manufacturing experience is required.

Must be comfortable with approximately

40% travel

between facilities in Virginia and Texas.

Key Qualifications

Experience with natural and conventional refrigerants, including

anhydrous ammonia .

Strong knowledge of

PSM programs, regulations, and compliance .

RETA Ammonia Certification such as

CARO, CIRO, CRES, CRST, or RAI

is highly desirable.

Experience with boilers, air compressors, water systems, R/O systems, water softeners, pumps, water treatment, DA tanks, and other utility equipment.

Experience operating and maintaining

spiral freezers .

Strong troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge of:

Industrial refrigeration systems

Boilers and hot water systems

Compressed air systems

PLCs

Pumps and utility systems

Proven ability to oversee

managers, assistant managers, refrigeration operators, and maintenance personnel .

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.

Travel Requirement

This position requires approximately

40% travel

between the organization's facilities in

Virginia and Texas . Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel and supporting operations across multiple locations.
