Senior Associate, Real Estate Litigation – Richmond, VA

A well-established Virginia law firm known for its middle-market business clients is looking for a senior real estate litigator to join its Richmond litigation team. You'll represent developers, property owners, investors, and businesses in a wide range of property disputes, with real ownership of your cases. The firm is collegial and entrepreneurial, and for a senior associate the partnership track is close.

What you'll do

• Represent developers, owners, investors, and businesses in commercial real estate disputes
• Manage cases from start to finish, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and hearings
• Advise clients on litigation risk tied to development projects and real estate transactions
• Work closely with the firm's real estate and land use attorneys on matters that cross practice lines
• Travel to the firm's Fredericksburg and Tysons offices as needed

What you bring

• Senior-level real estate litigation experience
• Virginia bar admission
• Strong courtroom, writing, and analytical skills
• Comfort leading matters and dealing directly with clients

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary of $175,000 to $225,000, depending on experience
• Performance and year-end bonuses, with a 1,750-hour billable target
• Firm-paid associate health insurance, plus a 401(k) with a safe harbor employer contribution
• Bar dues and malpractice covered, flexible scheduling, a defined path to partner, and an integration partner for laterals
