Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to join their team. The Senior R&D Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of innovative, complex electronic systems for new products. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with advanced technologies, and a proven track record of delivering successful products to market. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet performance, cost, and quality targets while adhering to project timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Independently conceive, design, and develop innovative electronic systems for new products.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Manage complex projects from concept through production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and rigorous testing to validate product designs.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering issues during development and production.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing) to ensure successful product development.
- Identify opportunities to improve product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D electrical design engineering, preferably in consumer product design.
- Strong expertise in digital signal processing, embedded systems, and analog circuit design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience with phased array and beamforming algorithms, acoustic or sonar instrumentation, and translating functional requirements into system specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and methodologies.
