Description

Lead Quality Engineer

Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues in metal fabrication processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Perform audits on production processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Train and mentor staff on quality procedures and best practices. Analyze data and generate reports to monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities. Oversee supplier quality assurance processes and maintain strong vendor relationships. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

The successful applicant will have 7-10+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on manufacturing quality within the electrical industry or a related industry. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field is required. Experience in production SHEET METAL from a quality/operational perspective is essential. Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis is necessary. Demonstrated track record of leading and successfully completing large-scale quality improvement projects. Proven ability to solve complex quality problems and implement effective process improvements. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001. Demonstrated experience in process analytics with a broad knowledge of quality tools and industry metrics. Six sigma experience preferred. Experience supporting RMA/Non-conforming material/Rejects (NMR) activities with interdepartmental coordination. Great project management skills, able to successfully lead project teams through ambiguity and constantly changing business needs. Salary ranging from $110,000 to $160,000 depending on relevant experience and interviews. ~10% bonus annually. Annual reviews for merit increases. 15 Days of PTO, with some flexibility to work from home when absolutely needed (sick, appointments, etc). Health/Medical/Dental/Vision Plans. 401k match.
