    Position Description:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quality Engineer Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives across complex enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively manage testing teams, collaborate with client stakeholders, and coordinate with offshore resources while ensuring the delivery of high quality software solutions.

    This role requires a blend of leadership, quality engineering expertise, test automation knowledge, analytical skills, and hands on testing experience. The successful candidate will define testing strategies, oversee execution, mentor team members, and serve as the primary quality advocate throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

    This position is located in our Houston, Texas office with work performed at client site in Houston, Texas.

    How You''ll Make an Impact:

    Leadership & Stakeholder Management

    . Lead and mentor Quality Engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    . Act as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, business teams, development teams, and offshore resources.

    . Facilitate status meetings, defect triage sessions, test planning reviews, and quality governance discussions.

    . Provide guidance and direction to onshore and offshore team members to ensure alignment with project objectives.

    . Drive quality engineering best practices and establish testing standards across projects.

    . Communicate testing progress, risks, metrics, and quality concerns to executive and project leadership.

    Quality Engineering & Test Management

    . Develop and maintain comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Summary Reports.

    . Lead end to end testing activities including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, User Acceptance, and Production Validation testing.

    . Design and execute test scenarios that validate business requirements and ensure application quality.

    . Oversee test execution activities and ensure appropriate defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution.

    . Establish traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

    Automation & Continuous Testing

    . Lead test automation initiatives utilizing Selenium and related automation frameworks.

    . Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression and integration testing.

    . Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing practices.

    . Evaluate new testing tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

    Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis

    . Lead defect management processes from identification through resolution.

    . Perform detailed root cause analysis of production and testing defects.

    . Collaborate with development teams to identify corrective and preventive actions.

    . Monitor quality metrics and provide recommendations for process improvements.

    Requirements & Business Analysis

    . Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate requirements.

    . Review functional and technical specifications to ensure testability and completeness.

    . Identify and mitigate quality risks during project planning and execution phases.

    Agile Delivery Support

    . Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

    . Partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development Teams to ensure delivery of high quality software.

    . Champion Agile testing principles and shift left testing practices

    What You''ll Bring:

    . Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

    . Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

    . 5 to 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing

    . Proven experience leading testing teams in enterprise environments.

    . Demonstrated success managing client relationships and working with cross functional stakeholders.

    . Experience coordinating and leading offshore testing resources.

    . Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

    . Experience developing and executing: Test Plans Test Strategies Test Scripts Test Summary Reports End to End Test Scenarios

    . Strong understanding of: Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing System Testing User Acceptance Testing

    . Hands on experience performing root cause analysis and defect management.

    . Experience gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements.

    . Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    . Experience with Gherkin and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

    . Experience with TestNG.

    . Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.

    . Experience with Java for automation framework development.

    . Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

    . ServiceNow testing and workflow validation experience.

    . Robotic Process Automation (RPA) testing experience.

    . Microsoft Dynamics CRM testing experience.

    . API and integration testing experience.

    . Experience testing cloud based applications and enterprise platforms.

    . Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, Certified Selenium Professional, etc.).

    CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $218,200.00.
