Quality Engineer

Job Description

Serve as the quality lead for new product introductions (NPI), supporting validation activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPAP requirements. Develop and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, inspection plans, validation protocols, and quality procedures. Monitor product and process performance through data analysis, trend reporting, and statistical methods. Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Partner with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve yields, reliability, and process capability. Support and maintain compliance with ISO and other applicable quality management system requirements. Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, including follow-up actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive document control, risk assessments, and quality system enhancements. Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality expectations, resolve issues, and improve supplier performance. Act as a key customer-facing representative for quality-related concerns and continuous improvement efforts. Utilize quality tools and methodologies to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. 7+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of engineering tools: PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, etc. Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, audits, and regulatory compliance. Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience using statistical and quality analysis software such as Minitab or similar tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer-facing teams. Electronics manufacturing experience is preferred. SMT manufacturing experience is a plus.
