Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Duration: 1 year
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a healthcare background and expertise in manual, automated, API, and cloud-based application testing.
This individual will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver reliable, secure, and compliant healthcare technology solutions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute manual and automated testing strategies, plans, and scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, database, and user-acceptance testing.
• Experience building end to end test automation using Playwright, Typescript/Javascript.
• Build and maintain automated tests and testing frameworks.
• Test healthcare applications, system integrations, and data exchanges.
• Validate REST APIs and applications hosted in AWS cloud environments.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to testing standards, tools, and best practices.
• Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other QA team members.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable healthcare security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation when required.
Required Qualifications
• Five or more years of software quality assurance or quality engineering experience.
• Healthcare industry experience.
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright or similar automation tools.
• Strong API-testing experience using Postman or comparable tools.
• Experience testing applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Karate framework to automate API, web-service, and integration testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and standard defect-management tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of healthcare EDI, HL7, FHIR, claims, or payer/provider systems.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance, accessibility, security, and data-quality testing.
• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience.
