Quality Engineer

Job Description

  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement proactive quality processes across the enterprise
  • Own corrective and preventive action efforts, driving root-cause analysis and long-term solutions
  • Develop, document, and maintain quality system procedures, work instructions, and forms
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and cost
  • Define, analyze, and report quality metrics to guide decision-making and capital investment
  • Serve as Lead Auditor and conduct internal and external audits to ISO 9001 standards
  • Support new product development through design reviews, FMEAs, control plans, and measurement system planning
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or equivalent) manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills using methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, or PDCA
  • Working knowledge of statistical and quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, Cpk)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; mechanical design experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
